Account safety

Read general account-safety guidance: protect credentials, review permissions, preserve useful records and recognise impersonation.

01

Keep credentials private

Do not share passwords, verification codes or payment credentials with someone claiming to offer help.

02

Review permissions

Read app-permission requests. Pause when access to messages, contacts, photos or accessibility does not match the feature you intended to use.

03

Use unique passwords

Avoid reusing an important email or banking password for another service.

04

Recognise impersonation

A copied logo or familiar name does not verify a support account. Be cautious with unsolicited messages.

05

Preserve records carefully

Keep dates, error messages and reference numbers. Redact private information before sharing screenshots.

06

Know this site’s limits
